Former N'Sync member J.C.Chasez tax trouble [Dec. 29th, 2009|06:09 pm]
N'Sync was once one of the hottest boybands around and J.C. Chasez was one-fifth of the members, which also included Justin Timberlake, Joey Fatone, Lance Bass and Chris Kirkpatrick. You would think the guys would've walked away from that deal without a financial worry in the world.

Apparently for J.C. Chasez, that is not the case. The America's Best Dance Crew judge just had a lien filed against him by the state of Mississippi accusing him of owing $206,965 in delinquent taxes.

I'm sure the former boybander and currently employed judge can rectify the situation...

Baby No. 2 on the way for Joey Fatone!

JoeyFatone952.jpgThe new year will bring a new baby for *NSYNC's Joey Fatone and wife Kelly Baldwin, who are expecting another bundle of joy in January. An insider close to Joey tells Life & Style that the former boy-band member's wife is expecting a little girl: "The due date is around Jan. 11." This will be the second child for the couple, who have been married since 2004 and have a 8-year-old daughter, Briahna. Joey placed second in ABC's Dancing With the Stars competition in 2007.

Kirkpatrick making new friends at "The World's Largest Disco Party," a New York fundraiser for Camp Good Days.

Chris Kirkpatrick – the former ’N Sync vocalist and reality-TV star – will be pouring wine and mixing drinks at the grand opening of the latest Urban Flats restaurant in Orlando Wednesday evening, and in the process he’ll be helping out local charities.
Urban Flats will donate $5 from every admission purchased at “Wine Down Wednesday” to the Chris Kirkpatrick Foundation, which supports underprivileged kids. In addition, the restaurant chain will donate 100 percent of the new location’s opening-day sales to the Children’s Home Society of Florida.
Kirkpatrick, who lives in Orlando, also will mingle with guests, offer wine suggestions and share stories about his foundation. He’ll be there from 5 to 8 p.m.

The newest Urban Flats is located at 7958 Via Dellagio Way, Suite 100, in The Dellagio shopping center off Sand Lake Road.

And in something of a charitable trifecta, the restaurant also will be accepting unwrapped gifts for Toys for Tots.

And the decade's most popular album is... [Dec. 11th, 2009|06:18 pm]

And the decade's most popular album is...
Justin Timberlake, Chris Kirkpatrick, JC Chasez, Lance Bass and Joey Fatone of N'Sync at 72nd Annual Academy Awards in Los Angeles in 2000.

NEW YORK – The top album of the decade came from an act that's not even around anymore — 'N Sync.

Billboard magazine says the boy band led by Justin Timberlake had the decade's best-selling album with "No Strings Attached," which sold more than 10 million copies.

The most popular song of the decade was Mariah Carey's ballad "We Belong Together."

Eminem was named the top artist of the decade, while Nickelback was named top group.

For 2009, Taylor Swift had the best-selling album with "Fearless," while the Black Eyed Peas' "Boom Boom Pow" was top song.

Billboard released those chart-toppers plus others for the decade and 2009 on its Web site on Friday.

This article would be so great if the fact they mentioned that the group wasn't around and that Justin fucking led the group.
*N SYNC made Justin what he is today yes but he was in no way the leader. Damnit.

Paragraph about Kelsey Grammar mentions Chris and Lance---- interesting... [Dec. 2nd, 2009|06:56 pm]
Behind each canceled TV show is a starring actor or actress. After the end of the show's run, the “star” has to recover and try again. Sometimes they should have just quit while they were just a little bit behind.

For the sake of these never-satisfied men and women, we at UTH would like to pay a special tribute to some of those actors who should have stopped two or three shows ago.

Kelsey Grammer

Oh, Mr. Grammer. He managed to have a successful career in the 1980s and 90s with “Cheers," “Frasier,” and “Simpsons” cameos, but now he’s gotten into a worse situation than when
Chris Kirkpatrick was asked to share Lance Bass' bed.

Clandestine Operation: An operation sponsored or conducted by governmental departments or agencies in such a way as to assure secrecy or concealment. A clandestine operation differs from a covert operation in that emphasis is placed on concealment of the operation rather than on concealment of the identity of the sponsor. In special operations, an activity may be both covert and clandestine and may focus equally on operational considerations and intelligence-related activities. The Decade In Music: 'N Sync's 'Bye Bye Bye' (2000)

'N Sync's "Bye Bye Bye" feels like the product of a shadowy pre-Sept. 11 world in which telegenic boys dance in unison.

'N Sync's "Bye Bye Bye" feels like the product of a shadowy pre-Sept. 11 world in which telegenic boys dance in unison.

Monday's Pick

  • Song: "Bye Bye Bye"
  • Artist: 'N Sync
  • CD: No Strings Attached
  • Genre: Pop
November 9, 2009 - [Every weekday from Nov. 9 to Nov. 20, Song of the Day will survey the past decade, one year (and one song) at a time, with an emphasis on America's most popular music. These picks don't exactly qualify as musical discoveries, but they do have something to say about the 10 years we're about to leave behind. Song of the Day will return to new music on Monday, Nov. 23. —ed.]

The decades never break as cleanly as the calendar might suggest. The time period people regard as "the '60s" often stretches well into the early '70s, culturally speaking, while the music, fashion and politics of the '80s run from roughly 1982 until the election of Bill Clinton 10 years later. Revisiting 'N Sync's ubiquitous 2000 hit "Bye Bye Bye," it's hard to imagine the song coming from this decade at all: It exists in a shadowy pre-Sept. 11 world in which telegenic boys perform elaborate G-rated dance moves in unison while selling honkloads of CDs to fans who also collect — and perhaps even play with — the action figures inspired by those boys' videos. (Of course, anyone who visited a clearance rack in the early '00s knows that you could snag those "Bye Bye Bye" puppet action figures for about 98 cents a pop a few months later.)

For as much as "Bye Bye Bye" feels like the end of an era in hindsight — boy bands would soon fade, the group broke up in 2002 after one more album, and No Strings Attached's record-setting sales of 2.4 million copies in its first week seems downright surreal today — 'N Sync's primary players haven't gone anywhere. Justin Timberlake would go on to release the frequently fantastic solo albums Justified and FutureSex/LoveSounds, both of which sold millions, while Lance Bass, JC Chasez, Joey Fatone and Chris Kirkpatrick have all experienced varying degrees of TV ubiquity.

As for the song itself, "Bye Bye Bye" demonstrates that, while trends come and go, a propulsive and almost demonically infectious pop tune can still sear itself into a listener's memory with only the slightest provocation. Just referencing that chorus — "It ain't no lie / Baby, bye bye bye" — is enough to drill the song into all nearby skulls for hours, if not days. (Sorry about that, by the way.)

The Golden Age Of Video by Ricardo Autobahn

We came, we saw, we kicked it's ass,
You don't understand I coulda had class,
Round and tasty on a bun,
Ooh Zippy look what you've done!
Finally! Cast off those lines!
No, I've been nervous lots of times,
Red Rum! What's the matter honey?
Just robbed Boss Hogg all of his money!
